Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is an Engineered Metal Products specialty. We provide the best quality laser-cut parts available anywhere. Our Amada Gemini 3015FO allows us to cut 0.010" thick shim stock, 0.750" thick steel, and absolutely everything in between.

Programming

EMP utilizes the best software technology for programming operations. We can accept files in almost any format, and turn geometry into code for laser cutting in mere minutes. Our JetCam nesting software allows us to provide unmatched material utilization and faster part processing. This allows us to provide very competitive pricing while keeping the quality bar high.

Materials

We process only metals with our laser. This keeps our machine clean and reliable while allowing us to focus on consistently producing the best cut quality possible. Other shops might use their lasers to process woods and polymers, resulting in dirty machines which become less reliable over time.

EMP maintains a large inventory of steel, aluminum and stainless steel sheet in the thickness range of 0.032" to 0.750". This allows us to be very agile in producing parts by eliminating the material ordering phase.

Along with steel, aluminum and stainless we are capable of processing bronze, titanium, spring steel, galvanized and galvanealed material. We also process treadplate and perforated stock.

Machine

Engineered Metal Products operates an Amada Gemini FO-3015 with a 4000 watt resonator. The shuttle table and flying-optics design offer superior productivity and versatility. The machine is continuously on an Amada maintenance plan with a rigorous preventative maintenance schedule. This minimizes down-time and gives our machine priority in the event of a problem.
